Samuel is not just some unknown Ethiopian

I am shocked to hear of the death of our leader Samuel Awoke, a brilliant young man, visionary leader and human dignity defender. His young precious life was cut too soon last night by soulless and immoral thugs of the TPLF/EPRDF.
Our brother Samuel is not just some unknown Ethiopian; he is one of us. He is the son, brother, uncle, best friend, valued colleague and extraordinary leader of all of us. Ethiopia has lost an amazing leader and freedom fighter.

I am sure his absence in this world of gun and greed will be deeply grieved by all of them and our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time. He is part of our greater Ethiopian family and together, we mourn the loss of his life. He is one of the many Ethiopians who has been deprived of his life.
Our beautiful country is in darkness today because we have lost that spectacular, gentle and harmless light of Debre Marqos that comes pouring through giving us hope to say YES IT CAN BE DONE. Ethiopia will be free from ethnic hatred politics and ethnic aparthied policy.
May Samuel Awoke’s family and loved ones find comfort, hope and inner strength in this time of great pain and difficulty
