The former Ethiopian president Dr. Negaso Gidada has been
detained this afternoon in a police station in Bole district,
Addis Ababa.
Dr. Negaso Gidada is the chair person of the Unity for
Democracy and Justice Party (UDJ), one of the most
important opposition political parties working under the
narrowest political landscape in Ethiopia.
The party has been in a peaceful struggle campaign,
“Millions of Voices for Freedom” since 3 months ago. On the
coming Sunday, the campaign is expected to be completed
with public demonstration.
